BMW lovers north of the 49th Parallel are getting an exclusive opportunity to pick up a piece of pure BMW gold…even if it is pure black.
BMW Group Canada recently announced the arrival on Canadian shores of a super exclusive, limited-edition B7 they put together with partner ALPINA GmbH, and one of the colour skews, a blacked-out beauty, has the Internet in something of a tizzy. Fair, because it. Is. Sharp!
Just 21 units of the 2019 BMW ALPINA B7 Exclusive Edition are hitting the Canadian market, or any market. That’s 21 cars, total, full stop, period. And they’re all in Canada.
BMW and ALPINA GmbH go back over 50 years, with the family-owned business putting out exclusive vehicles based off on BMW models since 1985.
Their latest collab-creation, the B7 marries luxury and performance in an absolutely stunning package, highlighted with black chrome exterior elements, ALPINA badges and 21-inch ALPINA Classic lightweight forged wheels. In addition to the blacked-out colour option (dubbed Individual Frozen Black) that’s making the headlines, BMW is releasing two other looks: Individual Frozen Grey and Black Sapphire Metallic.
Inside, the B7 gets embossed ALPINA headrests, BMW Individual Full Merino Leather with contrast stitching on the door panels and seats, a hand-finished steering wheel and Piano Black interior wood trim throughout the cabin.
Powering the Exclusive Edition is an ALPINA-tuned, twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 that puts out 600 horsepower and manages 590 lb.-ft of torque. That’ll move the B7 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and max it out at 308 km/h.
Price hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted. The BMW ALPINA B7 Exclusive Edition will be available at select BMW retailers this July.
